Barely less than six weeks after a tanker explosion that killed over 187 people in Jigawa state another Tanker explosion occured at Tsaida village along Jigawa Kano Boader town .
The Tanker loaded with petroleum fall at Tsaida village of Gaya local government at around 10: am Tuesday ,it was later on exploded and went on flame.
In what appears to be learning from the bitter lesson of Majiya Tanka explosion an eye witness, Inuwa Sale said, when the accident happened every body in the village run away to a distance place from the scene.
” We have heard on the terrible incident happened in Majiya recently, the horrible incident is not yet heels in our memories, therefore no body dear to go closer to the tanker talk less of scooping the spilling petroleum ” Inuwa stated
Confirming the incident the public relations officer of Federal Fire Services Jigawa command Mr M.A Aliyu said , on 12/11/2024 at about 1043hrs they received a distress call from Kuho Village head, Malam Zubairu Ahmad for a tanker accident at Tsaida, Kwanar Kalle near Gamoji village along Maiduri Road.
He revealed that upon receiving the distrace called without any hisitant they mobilized FFS 20 turn to the scene at about 10:30hrs.
” We have successfully within shortest time contained the fire and brought the situation under control, and there was no lost of life but one person sustain minor injury” M.A Aliyu state
In his own side the Spoke person of the Jigawa state police command SP Shisu Adam confirmed the incident, with no casualties.
SP Shisu maintained that, the public enlightenment embarked by the police and other stakeholders is working as the people of Tsaida and other near by village no one dear to go closer to the Tanker, they have listen to the warning and it saved everybody from eventuality
