The Niger State Government has dismissed reports of an alleged bandit attack on the convoy of Governor Umaru Bago during his tour of the Niger North Senatorial District.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Bologi Ibrahim, described the claims as baseless and false, urging the public to disregard the reports.

Earlier, some media outlets reported an attack on the governor’s convoy in Mashegu Local Government Area, a region previously affected by bandit activities. However, Ibrahim emphasized that no such incident occurred, and there are no records of casualties.
