Jigawa State Independent Electoral Commission (JISEC ) has recruited over 14,794 Adhoc staff for the conduct of 5th October local government council election in the state.
The Executive Chairman of the commission Alhaji Auwalu Harbo revealed this while briefing newsmen on their preparation for the conduct of the exercise

He said, a training has already been given to the recruited adhoc staff in various categories to ensure hitch-free exercise.
The chairman noted that, the election will be conducted at 4,522 polling units in the 287 political wards from across the 27 local government area of the state.
“As we have less than two weeks to go for the election, the commission has already reached 95 percent in terms of preparation, be side the recruitment of ad-hoc staffs, we have received the delivery of sensitive and non sensitive materials “
“We have received the voters registered from the INEC and all required materials, we are also working closely with security agencies, media and political parties to ensure peaceful conduct of the election”.
Auwalu Harbo however revealed that,11 political parties included: NNPP, PDP. APC Labor party join the race for the seat of 27 local government chairmen and 287 councillors in the forthcoming election.
