Israel Strategies For Dividing Gaza Intro Two Zone
The likelihood of Gaza being effectively divided into two zones has increased, amid the declining chances of implementing the second phase of Trump’s plan.
According to Reuters, assessments are growing that the yellow line will effectively become the border of the Gaza Strip in the coming years — due to Hamas’s refusal to give up its weapons on one side, and Israel’s rejection of any Palestinian Authority presence in the Strip on the other.
It is estimated that the deadlock in both parties’ positions will prevent the implementation of the second phase of Trump’s plan, meaning that Gaza’s reconstruction will only take place within the yellow line — that is, outside areas controlled by Hamas.
The report adds that it is also possible some residents of Gaza may move from areas under Hamas control to those under Israeli control.
While according to some analyst’s the continue cease fire violation by Israel has been a major source of concern and the actions made it difficult for the second phase of the plan.
