Jigawa Plage More Investment In Youth Development
Jigawa state government has pledged to continue investing in programs that empower young people who are the key drivers of future growth and development.
The state Governor History Excellency Malam Umar Namadi made the promised while speaking during the celebration of 2025 International Youth Day held in Banquet Hall, Dutse Government House.
Governor Namadi reaffirmed that. his administration is fully committed to investing in young people, as the future of the state rests on their shoulders.
” Our commitment is evident in our 12-Point Agenda” which prioritizes youth development through massive investments in education, skills training, empowerment, and mentorship over the past two years.
“Under the 12-Point Agenda, youth development has been given special priority, with all relevant ministries directed to introduce innovations that will help Jigawa youths unlock their full potential”.
These initiatives aim to prepare young people to meet the requirements of becoming competent future leaders.
He promised to review all recommendations from the youth and prioritize their implementation, stating:
that “Citizen input is crucial for realistic budgeting and policymaking. We will analyze all suggestions from this event and act accordingly.
In his remarks, the state commissioner for information Youth Sport and Culture Hon Sagir Musa The State Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports, and Culture, Hon. Sagiru Musa emphasized the importance of the celebration in addressing challenges facing youth development.
He urged young people to recognize their responsibilities, prepare for leadership, and uphold societal values to earn respect
The event was organized by the State Ministry of Information, Youth, Sports, and Culture, extended invitations to youth groups, civil society organizations, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, relevant government agencies, and other stakeholders
The celebrations was marked with a colorful event, featuring innovative approaches to youth engagement, including panel discussions, policy dialogues, and narratives on youth development and societal progress.
The discussions focused on the social lives of young people, their challenges, and prospects for building an ideal society.
