Jigawa state government commenced students sensitization on the process to access federal government students loan package.The Senior Special Adviser to the state governor on students affairs Comrade Amb. Muhammad Salisu Seeker organized the awareness program to ensure all eligible Jigawa state student take the advantage of the project to settle their school fees for uninterrupted academic program.
In an interview with newsmen in Dutse, Salisu Seeker stated that, his office through ” DAN MODI STUDENTS’ CARE organized the sensitization tour to all the tertiary institutions across the state to ensure no single student left uninformed about the Nigerian Education Loan Fund..
“Our objective was to inform students about the benefits of the loan, the eligibility requirements, and other crucial details that would empower them to make informed decisions regarding their education financing options”.
Many students were unaware of the fund’s existence or the processes of accessing the package, so inorder to rise the awareness we engaged with students through presentations and interactive sessions at their campuses to, ensuring they recognized the importance of the loan in alleviating financial burdens during academic journey”.
We are optimistic on the significance of this Students Loan Funds toward helping our young generation ( Students) to have access to tertiary education in respect of their social and economic background”As we encourage Jigawa State Students to take action and seize this financial opportunity to pursue their educational aspirations, we thanks Jigawa state governor Malam Umar Namadi for different educational intervention including the increase of scholarship to cover minimum of 50 percent of students registration fees ” SSA stated Comrade Salisu also expressed the appreciation of Jigawa state student to federal government for initiating student”s loan package and urged the managers of the fund to make it easier for every eligible student to access it.
