Jigawa state government has appointed His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr) Hamim Muhammad Nuhu Sanusi, the Emir of Dutse, as the J State Amirul Hajj and leader of the Government delegation for the forthcoming 2026 Hajj Exercise.
The approval for the appointment contained in a letter signed by the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim.
I according to the letter other members of goment deligation in the Amiru Hajji team included:1. Malam Umaru Nasarawa 2. Alhaji Kabiru Ali, Kachallan Dutse3. Representative of the Emir of Gumel 4. Imam Nura Salisu Abubakar, Chief Imam, Kazaure Central Mosque.
In his speech the Secretary to the State Government said, the Hajji team members were appointed base on merit and the confidence state government has on them in handling such important assignments.
He noted that. the government is expecting the team to help in organising and conducting hitch free Hajji Exercise and ensure the state pilgrim enjoys their trips to holly land with full enabling environment for performing their spiritual exercise.
“In achieving so the team is also expected to collaborate with state federal agencies and officials of Saudi Arabia to ensure full compliance of the rules and regulations governing such important and spiritual foreign trips ”
According to the Director General Jigawa state pilgrim Welfare Board Ahmed Labo described the appointment as a well-deserved, promised to collaborate with the Emir and his team for achieving successful Hajji exercise.
- He added that a total of 1,806 Hajji seat allocated to the state by National Hajji Commission and it was fully paid, while all necessary arrangements is going on in according to the schedule of the exercise.
