The Jigawa state commissioner of Humanitarian and Special Duties Hon Auwal Sankara has disbursed the sum of N50 millions as an empowerment to over 250 youth and women from his constituency.
Hon Sankar launched the disbursement of the cash Empowerment during the occasion of Governor Umar Namadi visit to Ringim local government for state government programs ” Government and Public Engagement” ( Gwamnatin Da Jama”a).
Hon Auwal who hailed from Ringim local government said. the Personal empowerment programs was aimed at complementing the effort of Governor Umar Namadi on youth employment for Jobs creation and poverty alleviation in the state
The commissioner explained that, he chased the cash Empowerment to support some youth to improve their business while some to use the money for start off the business of their own choice.
According to the commissioner each of the beneficiaries recieved the sum of N250,000 and promised to continue with different personal initiative to support Governor Malam Umar Namadi Impending 12 point agenda designed to make Jigawa prosperous and great.
In his comments Governor Namadi commended Hon Sankara for the empowerment initiative which aligned to his government 12 point agenda which accorded special priority on empowerment, jobs creation and poverty eradication.
Governor Namadi noted that, addressing the abject poverty is necessary for the state to accelerate growth and employment and building, skills training and enabling environment for business to strive is very paramount to achieve the tergate.
He than called on all elective, political office holders, business men and other wealthy people to empower people around them for driving growth and development.
