Governor Namadi Appointed Ambassador For Maleria Eradication Campaign

Donor partner know as Maleria Consortium has appointed the Jigawa state governor Malam Umar Namadi as an ambassador for campaign against malaria in the state and Nigeria in general.
The letter and formal investiture of Governor Namadi was done during a high-level courtesy visit paid to Dutse Government House by Malaria Consortium led by Dr. Jean Thomas.
Speaking at Government House Dr Thomas explained that the appointment of governor Namadi as an ambassador in campaign against Maleria was done in recognition of his commitment to the improvement of public healthcare services delivery including fight against Maleria.
“Though some of the people look at Maleria as a simply disease but it prevelance and scourge contributed to the high rate of child and maternal death as well as increasing pressure on public healthcare investment”
” We must commended Jigawa state commitment in promoting war against Maleria which resulted to the significance reduce of Maleria prevelance in the state ”
Dr Jean however told the governor that, the courtesy visit was also in preparation for the flagg off of the distribution of 3.2 million mosquito nets in the state which they hope for Governor Namadi to grace it.
In his speech Governor Namadi thanks malaria consortium for their intervention for fight against malaria in the state which contributed in achieving the reduction of Maleria cases in the state..
” As leaders it is duty bound upon us to join hands with any partner indicated interest in improving health, social and economic life of our people, therefore I promised to ensure Jigawa state government has played it’s expected for the success of Mosquitoes Net distribution and any other intervention for achieving Maleria reduction and enhancing public healthcare services delivery in general” Governor Namadi declared.
