As part of it’s commitment to support Nigerian women to be self reliant and productive, the wife of the president Her excellency Senator Remi Tinibu has flagged of another round of empowerment worth N50 Million to 1,000 women in Jigawa state.Speaking during the flagging off ceremony for the disbursement held in Dutse capital, Senator Remi Tinibu who was represented by the wife of Jigawa state governor Hajiya Hadiza Umar Namadi said, the empowerment package was part of the Renewal Hope agenda which included women empowerment.”
We are determined to empower our women accross the country to become selfreliance and productive for sustainable growth and development”” We believed the package given to small scale business woman will help them to increase their capital for more production and profit in this critical time”” I am optimistic that, For rural business women such as food vendors and other related, business, the sum of N50,000 will go a long way in supporting them” Remi statedShe than assured the Jigawa state women that, federal government through Renewal Hope Projects will continue to provide series of intervention packages for building their capacity to compete in social and economic productivity in Nigeria.
Mrs Tinibu than urged the beneficiaries from across the 27 local government area of the state to use the money as a capital for more investment in their own business for achieving the desire goals of reducing poverty prevalence among women and society.
Speaking one of the beneficiaries Malama Talatu Garba thanks the first Lady for the kind gesture which came at a right time when rural women are looking for any support to sustain and improve their means of livelihood.
