The Jigawa State government has honored outstanding English and Mathematics teachers from the state’s senior secondary schools with special awards.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media Affairs, Hajiya Zainab Shu’aibu Rabo, announced this in a press statement issued from the capital, Dutse.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
According to the statement, the award ceremony was organized by the State Science and Technical Board. Held at the Ahmadu Bello Hall in Dutse, the event aimed to encourage other teachers to perform their duties with dedication and patriotism.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In his speech at the occasion, Governor Malam Umar Namadi stated that his administration is committed to revitalizing the state’s education sector to ensure every child has access to quality education.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The Governor added that this reform has prioritized teacher recruitment and training, which are pivotal for achieving effective learning outcomes.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He said over the last two years, the government has recruited more than 7,000 teachers, renovated over 1,000 classrooms, and constructed over 500 new ones. Furthermore, over 50,000 student seats were procured, among many other critical interventions.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
“We are determined to spend and invest all required resources in our children’s education, and we are ready to reward anyone who demonstrates commitment in discharging their statutory public responsibilities,” the Governor stated.<\/p>\n

“Today, this ceremony is organized to honor our outstanding teachers. We thank them and want everyone to thank them. We also promise to continue this practice as a morale booster for all,” he added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
