The speaker Gombe state House of Assembly Rt Hon Muhammad Abubakar Luggerewo said he is committed to promote the use of Information Technology (IT) for enhancing the efficiency of their legislative business.<\/p>\n

The speaker made the remarks while fielding question from newsmen during the opening session of the 4 days retreat organized for members and principle officers of Gombe state house of Assembly, held in Dutse capital of Jigawa state.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Hon Abubakar said, the theme of the retreat was Technology Adoption For Democracy Development and promoting e-Legislative was design to acquainte the members of the assembly on the need to adopt IT to ensure consistent and effective legislative activities in the state.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
“I am optimistic that, leveraging the advantage of IT will help in strengthen our legislative duty, promoting democracy and efficient public service delivery” said Rt Hon Luggerewo<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The speaker than, thanks Jigawa state governor Malam Umar Namadi for honoring them by gracing the opening session of the retreat<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Hon Abubakar also commend governor Umar Namadi for operating people’s oriented government and delivering dividend of democracy to door-stepe of Jigawa citizens.<\/p>\n

In his remarks, the Jigawa state governor Malam Umar Namadi said, the theme of the retreat “Technology Adoption for Democratic Development” signifies the commitment of the Gombe Assembly to promote transparency and accountability in democracy and governance in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

He maintained that, promoting digital adoption will simplify legislative process there by paving way for passing bills and enacting laws that will enhance security, social and economic wellbeing of the people according to the time and conditioned<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Governor Namadi noted that, Information Technology is a powerful tools in strengthen democratic process, from e- voting, e-busines, e-Data transmission and storage economic and human capital development, therefore the Theme is timely and commendable.<\/p>\n
