{"id":2844,"date":"2024-08-31T17:44:49","date_gmt":"2024-08-31T17:44:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/attajdidnews.com.ng\/?p=2844"},"modified":"2024-08-31T20:17:02","modified_gmt":"2024-08-31T20:17:02","slug":"jigawa-lunches-distribution-of-n50000-grant-to-12000-rural-women","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/attajdidnews.com.ng\/?p=2844","title":{"rendered":"Jigawa Lunches Distribution Of N50,000 Grant To 12,000 Rural Women."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p> Barely 40 days after commissioned water Project which end the 50 years water scarcity in Gwari village of Dutse local government, the  Jigawa state governor Malam Umar Namadi has went back to the village and lunched the distribution of N50,000 empowerment grant for12,000 rural women across the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gwari a forgotten Community on the top of rocks in the outskirts of Dutse local government was bought to the government and public attention after a media reports on the agony of the community that lack access to drinking water and other social amenities.Speaking at the  occasion, Governor Umar Namadi said, the program is part of the commitment of his government to empowered people of different categories for tackling poverty, promoting jobs and wealth creation in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said, 51 percent of the state population of 7.5 million are female, and also women appears to be more economic backwards in the state , therefore it is very critical and indispensable to empowered women for achieving poverty reduction in the state.&#8221; Today we are lunching another round of women empowerment in Jigawa state, in which we tergeted 12,600 women with grant of N50,000 each to improve or start their own jobs of choice&#8221;&#8221;Besides this we also signed MOU with World Bank for women empowerment, which we now increase our counter funds from  N50 Million to N500 million, we also injected N4 billion in to Bank of Industry for empowering our people with special and simple packages for women in addition to different packages we give them in the past&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are optimistic that, beside poverty eradication women empowerment will  help in reducing domestic crisis,  promote peace and love in the family which will enhance children moral upbringing, public productivity growth and development in the state&#8221; Governor Namadi stated In her speech at the occasion the state Commissioner for women affairs Hajiya Hadiza Abdulwahab said, a total of two hundred women were selected from Gwari Village and other near by Community, while the selection was made base on priority needs across the rural communities in the 27 local government areas of the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the  beneficiaries who received their alerts during the lunching has expressed their gratitude to Jigawa state Governor for his compassion to women empowerment and promised to utilize the grant properly for achieving the desire goals.
