The Federal Minister of defense Hon Muhammed Badaru Abubakar has donated The sume of N20 Million as an assistant to the victims of flood ravaged over 100 communities in Jigawa state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The minister who was the immediate past state governor give the donation when he paid a courtesy visit to the state governor Malam Umar Namadi at Dutse Government House as part of his one day visit to commiserate with victims of the flood in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
” With grate sorrow I came to commiserate with Jigawa state governor Malam Umar Namadii, the victims and the entire people of the state on the calamity inflicted our state which so far killed 33 people, displaced over 7,500 families and washed away hundreds hecters of farmland “<\/p>\n\n\n\n
” I am also commended you His Excellency Malam Umar Namadi for rapid and quick response to the victims of the disaster , this shows your deep concern and careering to your people , thanks for that, and may Almighty Allah give you more courage and wisdom to guidel the state to prosperity “<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The minister than urged the governor and the flood victims to take the natural disaster as an act of test from Almighty Allah , and submit everything to him, while at the same taking all necessary measures to minimize the damages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He than assured the Jigawa state government the ful support of federal government under president Bola Ahmad Tinubu in assisting the victims and finding a lasting solution to the disaster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his response the Jigawa state governor Malam Umar Namadi told the visiting minister that, this year flooding appears to be different from other flooding that use to occured between September -Octover “<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“This year flooding started in the month of July and August as a result of the velocity of the rainfall which resulted to collapsed of hundreds of Mude houses and killed people”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“As we expected for more flow of water and aggravating the situation we will continue to collaborate with federal government and all well wishers to take all necessary measures to minimize the damages ” Governor Namadi stated”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He thanks the defense Minister for the visit and donation , also described him as a good leader, a mentor and exemplary model who they are flowing put prin in service to humanity and public accountability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
